Manipura Chakra is located in the solar plexus, between the navel and the bottom of the sternum.
It’s the chakra of our personal power. This means it’s related to our self-esteem and self-confidence.
It represents the element of “fire” which ignites your digestive fire, and absorption of nutrients. Fire is the spark of life that ignites your inner fire into action. However purifying and nourishing, fire can also be destructive when it gets out of control.
The Solar Plexus chakra is the source of personal power, organizational skills, self-esteem, willpower, and determination. This chakra stores our personal strength and vitality, as well as the power of transformation, which allows us to turn dreams and ideas into reality.
The Solar Plexus chakra resonates with integrity, responsibility, and self-discipline.
Information stored in the third chakra involves our reliability, our ability to meet challenges, while maintaining a healthy sense of humor. At this level things change. This chakra helps us transmute fear into love, anger into action, and sadness into surrender and bliss.
Manipura chakra is the storehouse for status, ambition, and ego. A person dominated by Third Chakra will strive for personal power and recognition, even to the detriment of family and friends

TO BALANCE AND PURIFY THIS CHAKRA DO THE FOLLOWING:
1) Practice TAPAS – SELF- DISCIPLINE: Tapas is a form of personal transformation. In the practice of Tapas, the yogi finds his own inner flame – the fiery motivation that keeps him/her focused on the individual goals and helps him/her to incinerate the obstacles along the path. Sensory temptations, laziness, negative thoughts, and selfish orientation are gradually burned by the fire of Tapas. Even more than the end goal of transformation, the discovery of our inner strength is our biggest reward.
Self-discipline is remembering what we want and acting accordingly. Overcoming the short-term distractions and desires in order to stay focused on one’s highest goals. The more often we act in accordance with our convictions, the more we gain self-possession and self-direction. The dedicated focus of Tapas or self-discipline is at the heart of yoga. What is it that you really want? Remember it!
2) Sense of humor and laughter, watch funny movies, read funny books and jokes, connect with those who bring you to the state of laughter.
3) Engage in Vigorous exercise.
4) Aromatherapy scents to stimulate this chakra: rosemary or cardamom.
5) Incorporate the color YELLOW (in clothes, bracelets, shawls, décor, and work environment)
6) Feed your chakra: consume food with fiber to stimulate digestion and elimination (whole grains, legumes). Yellow squash, yellow pepper, yellow lentils. Dark bluish colored fruits such as blueberries, blackberries, and red grapes. Black pepper, ginger, and peppermint.
7) Practice yoga poses, breathing techniques, bandha, and meditations for this chakra.
8) Nutritional and Digital Detox, removing electronic devices for a period of time.
9) Taking a short walk out in the sun or sitting by a campfire or fireplace to instill warmth and calm the mind.
10) Meditate outside facing the sun as it rises.
11) Burn candles, sit by the fireplace, contemplate the power of fire in a safe way.
11) Practice affirmations such as: “I’m my own unique person and control the way I think and behave”
Start with these simple practices and, in no time, you’ll experience a greater sense of self-confidence and charisma; enthusiasm for life, vitality, creativity, and a deep sense of gratitude and contentment.
